Learn about the different types of telescopes Use a telescope to find and monitor night sky objects Observe the moon and track the moon's nightly position Identify and observe the planets Track planetary positions in the night sky Photograph the night sky, the moon and planets Learn to read a star chart Learn the constellations Scout Planetarium Programs: Using Stargazing For Everyone's StarLab Portable Planetariums, these programs are designed to satisfy any badge requirements to visit and learn about a planetarium. These are indoor programs. Attend a planetarium program Learn how a planetarium works Learn how to create a planetarium program Special Scout Lectures: Each lecture is customized for the scout group and includes a 20 to 40 minute slide presentation followed by a question and answer period. These lectures can be outdoors and combined with telescope viewing or they can be indoors.
