Abernethy Center
Abernethy jCenter iks the perfect location for any event. Built in 1960 as an Oregon City Post Office and completely remodeled and renovated in 2001, the Center has character and charm that are not often seen in venues of similar size. From the granite, tile and marble entry leading to over 5,000 square feet of beautifully appointed event space, to the spacious rooms with 13 to 15-foot high ceilings displaying chandeliers and wall sconces that add elegance and ambience, the Abernethy Center has everything you need to create a memorable event. The outdoor patio hosts a babbling brook, gorgeous flower baskets and a quiet escape. Adjacent to the Center, over 3.5 acres of outdoor garden area are nestled along Abernethy Creek. Its gradual slope will accommodate groups of 100 to 1,000. Clients may choose from one of two gazebo gardens for the ceremony; a full-size tent with closeable sidewalls is included for the reception. Just three blocks from I-205 in Oregon City, the Abernethy Center is conveniently located for the Portland area. The Center offers over 125 free parking spaces, with plenty of street parking as well.
